Somm Note
Winemaker Notes
Light yellow green color. Splendid floral perfume intermingled with small white peach aromas. The palate is tightly knit and has acid structure rich in finesse. Exuding delicate hints of lemon. Vivid and vibrant with a vigorous finish that comes back in a wave of stone fruit flavors.
Goes best with fish like trout or salmon, also very good with spicy food -- especially Asian cuisine.

James Suckling
Another beautiful dry riesling from this little-known region, this manages to be full of sliced-pear and ripe-lemon aromas, but also to have some structure. Clean finish with good minerality.

Tender citrus notes on the nose hint at lemon zest and juice. The palate comes in with freshness, and is taut and light. Lemon freshness takes center stage and provides brightness and toned lip-smacking fruit on the dry finish.

Absolute focus on the strengths of the region and the unique soil types that are found there ensure that year to year the wines display unmistakable clarity of fruit. "Sustainable development, carefully controlling the harvest and meticulous pruning are the most natural and important prerequisites for successful winemaking", says Markus. "Only that way can there be a harmonious merging of traditional and modern methods that create pure wines of unique provenance and character."
