Vivid, plum red with purple hue. Aromas of red and blue fruits, aniseed, and mixed spice. Black cherry, blackberry, and hints of raspberry on the palate. Fine savory tannins drag the flavors long, finishing with lingering mixed spice and beautifully balanced texture.

Australian Wine Companion
Whole-berry wild fermentation in concrete, both small open-topped and large closed fermenters. Left 14 days on skins, matured 14 months in French barriques (30% new). Often cited as a benchmark cool-climate shiraz, there's no denying this is yet another impressive, elegant shiraz from a strong vintage. Boasts refined richness and a depth of flavour that is well-matched to a vivacious personality. Fruit is the star, with flecks of pepper and spice assisted by plump tannins. That's a WOW!

Vinous
Bright ruby. Spice-tinged dark berry liqueur, cola, mocha and floral scents and a hint of sandalwood on the fragrant nose. Juicy blueberry, cassis and espresso flavors show fine definition and turn sweeter as the wine opens up. Sneaky tannins add shape to the persistent finish, which hangs on with very good, spicy persistence. This bottling consistently punches well above its weight compared to its fancy and pricier stablemates, which are among the standout bottlings of Shiraz from all of Australia. 30% new French oak barrels.

Wine Spectator
Reveals ripe, juicy huckleberry and blackberry flavors that are concentrated and round, with milk chocolate, dried herb, espresso and salted toffee accents. Finds a nice balance between richness and juiciness on a supple, plush frame. Drink now through 2030.

Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Great Dividing Range in the Grampians region of Victoria, the Mount Langi Ghiran (Aboriginal for home of the yellow-tailed black cockatoo) vineyard is one of the most isolated and unique sites in Australian viticulture. The vineyard, with its towering granite cliffs and loamy red soils, encapsulates an extraordinary sense of place. Mount Langi Ghiran, or Langi, as it is fondly referred to, was originally planted in 1870 where is has become the home of one of Australia's finest cool climate wines, the Langi Shiraz.
Marked by an unmistakable deep purple hue and savory aromatics, Syrah makes an intense, powerful and often age-worthy red. Native to the Northern Rhône, Syrah achieves its maximum potential in the steep village of Hermitage and plays an important component in the Red Rhône Blends of the south, adding color and structure to Grenache and Mourvèdre. Syrah is the most widely planted grape of Australia and is important in California and Washington. Sommelier Secret—Such a synergy these three create together, the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre trio often takes on the shorthand term, “GSM.”
Nestled into the tip of its southeastern coastline, Victoria is Australia’s smallest mainland state, second most populous and third largest wine producer. Victoria includes the cool regions of Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula and Geelong, made famous mainly by impressive Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The more inland Heathcote and Bendigo lead the way for complex and textured, full-bodied reds. Rutherglen’s fortified wines compete among the best on the planet.
