Deep purple-colored, the tiny production 2017 Patrimony Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 30 months in new French. This rocking wine has a huge nose of deep black fruits, new leather, unsmoked tobacco, exotic spices, and chocolate. Full-bodied and stunningly concentrated, with awesome tannins, a stacked mid-palate, and just a gorgeous finish, it's a magical wine and an incredible 2017. Bravo!

Creamy, silky, and intense, this startlingly inky-black liquid exudes aromas of tilled soil, leather, soy sauce, and black plum. Tannins coat the tongue with coffee-chocolate grit that’s smoothed out by ripe blackberry and heather. Dense and sturdy, the body remains ethereal, saturating the palate with anise, dark chocolate, and espresso. Aged for 30 months in the finest French oak barrels.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2017 Patrimony is aging at a leisurely pace—it takes time in the glass to unfold to rich blackberry pie, roasted coffee, char grill and a shimmery streak of graphite. The velvety palate is packed with sweet berry fruit and savory accents and finishes tightly wound. It's barely nudged in bottle this year and will continue to develop over the next 15+ years.

COMMENTARY: The 2017 Patrimony Cabernet Sauvignon stands strong and tall as a Cab like few others. TASTING NOTES: This wine explodes with persistent black fruit and oak in its aromas and flavors. Enjoy its lasting presence with a well-marbled, grilled ribeye topped with diced shallots and a side serving of a triple crème blue cheese. (Tasted: June 14, 2021, San Francisco, CA)

Lovely, deep fruit with blackberry, chocolate and hazelnut. Plenty of firmness and length. Full-bodied and flavorful. Creamy-textured finish. Drink or hold.

Hailing from Lebanon by way of Paris, France, Georges and Daniel moved to the United States as young men and soon achieved business success. But that was just the beginning. From their family history and worldview was now imagined a fearless goal—to produce the world’s finest Cabernet Sauvignon, and to curate a lifestyle to match. From terroir to winemaking to architecture, they leave no detail unexplored, so that this wine, and this place, may never fail to astonish.
A noble variety bestowed with both power and concentration, Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys success all over the globe, its best examples showing potential to age beautifully for decades. Cabernet Sauvignon flourishes in Bordeaux's Medoc where it is often blended with Merlot and smaller amounts of some combination of Cabernet Franc, Malbecand Petit Verdot. In the Napa Valley, ‘Cab’ is responsible for some of the world’s most prestigious, age-worthy and sought-after “cult” wines. Somm Secret—DNA profiling in 1997 revealed that Cabernet Sauvignon was born from a spontaneous crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc in 17th century southwest France.
