    Winemaker Notes

Santa Margherita Sparkling Rose is a lovely pink hue. A subtle succession of floral fragrances lifted by white fruits and delicate hints of red berry fruits. Lively and long-lingering freshness on the palate for a brilliantly versatile drinking experience that is all lightness and easy-drinking appeal.

Blend: 50% Chardonnay, 45% Glera (Prosecco), and Malbec 5%

    Santa Margherita
Santa Margherita introduced Pinot Grigio in 1980, and has become one of America's favorite premium wines. Recently voted the most popular imported wine, red or white, in top restaurants for the 11th consecutive year (Wine & Spirits 4/06), Santa Margherita remains a favorite among wine enthusiasts for its crisp, ripe character and consistent quality.

The [Napa Valley] and [Cabernet Sauvignon] are so intrinsically linked that it is difficult to discuss one without thinking of the other. Although Cabernet has many important outposts throughout the wine world, nowhere else has it achieved such success (and, at the highest end, commanded such lofty prices) than in Napa. Here, it is responsible for bold, opulent, and dark-fruited wines with grippy tannins and a healthy dose of alcohol. The best examples can age for decades. Each of Napa’s smaller sub-AVAs imparts a different character to Cabernet, such as [Rutherford’s] famous dust or [Stags Leap District's] tart cherry flavors.
