Situated 215 metres above sea level, Clarendons cooler viticultural conditions yield Merlot grapes which enable our winemakers to craft a flavoursome and complex wine that is ready to enjoy now, yet will cellar well enabling the development of further complexity. An intense bouquet of mulberry and spice has been enhanced by barrel maturation in French and American Oak. The palate displays fresh berry flavours with subdued cinnamon, oak nuttiness and fine complex tannins.
Serve: This is a great food wine with almost endless possibilities. Perfect with light red meat dishes, veal, fowl or cheese and fruit. Enjoy now or cellar for a further 5-7 years.

While the Tatachilla of today was launched in 1995, the origins of the winery and the name go back as far as the early 1900's.
