Winemaker Notes

Deep ruby red with garnet reflections. Aromas of red fruit, blackberry, plum and licorice with hints of vanilla and leather. Full-bodied, with intense flavors of cherry, raspberry and spice culminating in a long and smooth finish.

Critical Acclaim

W&S 90
Wine & Spirits

Heady and rich with the effusive character of the 2007 vintage, this pairs dusty cherry scents with porcini in a firm, gentle nebbiolo. The earthy finish will match braised pork with white beans.

WS 90
Wine Spectator

An elegant version, featuring licorice-tinged cherry, berry and earth flavors. Well-proportioned, with the supple texture playing off the light tannins on the finish. Best from 2014 through 2025.
