Winemaker Notes

The Wolf Blass Yellow Label Shiraz is deep crimson at the core with purple hues. Lifted blueberry and ripe plum fruit melds with spice and underlying oak notes. The palate is full bodied with dark berry fruits; blueberry and plum melds with subtle mocha oak notes.

Critical Acclaim

JH 90
Australian Wine Companion

It is easy to criticise big company wines as boring, lacking zest and life, having no heart, and so on. The other side of the coin is that these wines are perfectly balanced, have seductive mouthfeel and are as easy to drink the day they are released as 5 years thereafter. This wine also happens to have only 13.5% alcohol, adding to the drink-now appeal of its gently spicy plum and blackberry fruit, plus the veneer of oak that is so expertly applied.
