Winemaker Notes
Deep red with ruby hues. The wine exhibits vibrant, characteristic aromas of cassis, mulberries, and black plums entwined with hints of cinnamon, nori and potpourri. Full-bodied yet refined, the generous palate offers a core of inky berry fruits; boysenberry, blackcurrants and Satsuma plums. Dense and well- structured, the palate is layered with these dark fleshy fruit characteristics and ripe tannins which culminate through to a persistent Cabernet finish.
Vibrant and robust in its youth, this is a wine which will certainly benefit from further bottle maturation, and will cellar comfortably for 5-10 years.
Blend: 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec, 4% Petit Verdot

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon has a crushed shell/nori/kelp character on the nose that translates as a pomegranate, beetroot flavor in the mouth. Earthy, spicy and classy, this is an exciting, savory wine. Looking really good—the 2014s are just so attractive. Naturally so. Effortlessly so. Classically so. Best After 2022

Wine Enthusiast
Quite young and powerful at the moment, this broody Margaret River Cabernet offers up ripe cherry, mocha, florals and dusty, herbal oak notes. The palate is rich and plush, with more oak driven herbacousness, chewy tannins and a savory finish. Set this in the cellar for a few years and try it again with some more age on it. Drink 2019–2032.

Wine
A noble variety bestowed with both power and concentration, Cabernet Sauvignon enjoys success all over the globe, its best examples showing potential to age beautifully for decades. Cabernet Sauvignon flourishes in Bordeaux's Medoc where it is often blended with Merlot and smaller amounts of some combination of Cabernet Franc, Malbecand Petit Verdot. In the Napa Valley, ‘Cab’ is responsible for some of the world’s most prestigious, age-worthy and sought-after “cult” wines. Somm Secret—DNA profiling in 1997 revealed that Cabernet Sauvignon was born from a spontaneous crossing of Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc in 17th century southwest France.
Home to some of Australia’s most elegant and long-lived red and white wines, Margaret River is situated in the farthest reaches of Western Australia. Relatively warm and dry, the region is cooled by breezes from the Indian Ocean. Margaret River takes some inspiration from Bordeaux, producing top-quality Cabernet Sauvignons and Bordeaux Blends with firm structure, mouthwatering acidity, balanced alcohol and notes of herbs and spice. For white wines, refreshing blends of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon as well as complex, age-worthy Chardonnays are regional specialties.
