Winemaker Notes

Dense black purpley red in color with an aroma exhibiting a mix of freshbriary almost blackcurrant tones, balanced with violets and dark plums, finishing with an earthy, savory complexity. The palate is full bodieddemonstrating Barossa Valley hallmarks of richness, density andconcentration. Silky fruit complexity is the key here with both red and darkjubey flavors. The palate finishes with fine, earthy tannins. Try with a rare ribeye steak.

Critical Acclaim

JH 93
Australian Wine Companion

Deep colour; a brooding, dark and almost menacing mix of black fruits, mocha and licorice; the palate is dense, thoroughly chewy and not particularly graceful, but the rugged energy delivers a potent mix of fruit and structure. Screwcap.
