Winemaker Notes

Fragrant perfume with loads of dark fruits, spice, pepper, blackberry jam and violets. The palate shows structure and precision. Intense flavor and pristine fruit with classic Shiraz Viognier characters. Very long and focused.

Critical Acclaim

JH 95
Australian Wine Companion

Great colour, and a perfumed bouquet to a vibrant and fresh wine, the viognier lift working to perfection with the medium-bodied fruit; long finish.

ST 92
International Wine Cellar

Youthful purple. Seductive, floral-accented dark berry and candied cherry-vanilla aromas are complemented by cola and smoky minerals. Fleshy blackberry and cassis flavors are firmed by supple tannins, which add grip to the back end. Really clings to the palate, leaving sexy dark berry preserve qualities behind. Open and sweet enough to drink young but there's ample depth here to reward at least four more years of patience.

Wine Spectator

Impressive for its focused, mouthwatering berry and spice flavors, riding on firm tannins and a medium-weight frame, followed by a juicy finish. Drink now through 2016.
